Abstract
How to select and use skeletal anchorage for your patients
This course will provide a complete overview of the different solutions and mechanics to correct malocclusion using TADs.
Two different systems to correct Class II maloccluisons without patient collaboration will be presented.
With the support of live video, an easy and safe Miniscrews Assisted Palatal Application (MAPA System) will be presented which does not require any experience by the clinician.
In addition, a “One Visit Protocol” will be presented which allows to apply the miniscrews and the orthodontic appliance in a single appointment. The rationale for using the most suitable biomechanics and the most efficient system for upper molar distalization and mesialization will be illustrated.
It will be shown how, thanks to the use of miniscrews, Class III skeletal malocclusion can be treated with the possibility of really affect the orthopaedic components even in young adult patients without any side effects.
Finally, the correction of transversal problems in adults will be addressed, which thanks to the use of the MAPA System and the Tandem Skeletal Expander (TSE) allows the rapid expansion of the palate even in adult patients without surgery (Bloodless SARPE).
