Abstract
Digital chairside technology and skeletal anchorage in daily practice
Digital technology and skeletal anchorage are two of the newest innovations in orthodontics.
Integrating the two technologies and simplifying protocols becomes essential for their use in daily practice.
This presentation will illustrate how the use of digital technology and an appropriate planning technique (MAPA) allows the safe application of skeletal anchorages without any experience, saving time with simple procedures that allow the speeding up of the clinical path.
You will learn how in many cases the combination of the two technologies can enable the correction of many clinical pictures in different types of malocclusion both in young and adult patients.
Aims, Objectives & Learning Outcomes
Aims: Learn how to integrate digital technology in the daily use of TADs and in the subsequent phases of orthodontic treatment.
Objectives: Provide a realistic view of the possible interaction between digital technology and the use of miniscrews in different types of malocclusion.
Learning Outcomes:
Understand the work flow in digital planning of skeletal anchorages.
Learn how to manage the application of miniscrews and the simultaneous delivery of appliances (One visit protocol). Learn the use of mini screws for the correction of Class II, Class III malocclusions and transverse deficiencies in young and adult patients.
